Have you ever asked yourself, “Does God really know me? Does he really love me?” I know I have asked myself this question countless times throughout my life. This world has a way of hiding truths from our hearts, and important details like this one can get lost in the path and obstacles of life. I tend to be a thinker, and as a thinker, I often ponder about life, our society, our nations, our world, analyzing and seeking to understand things from different perspectives, such as histo ... The saddest thing that is taught in the North American continent is that we only cry out to God when things are going bad. We can pray when we are sick, we are told. When times come that look like we are going to be overwhelmed, then seek God. There are far too many teachings on this. Don’t get me wrong, I am not against calling out to God in times of trouble, but how sad it must be for God, when that is the only time we pray to Him. Jesus didn’t die for us so we can have a safety net for wh ... [read more]...

Ultimately though, we all just need God to come and intervene in our lives. We need to take our ... [read more]...

Many times when we don’t get the answer that we want in prayer, we think, “Well, I am just one person and God doesn’t have time to hear my prayer. ” We think that God is so big and we are so small that somehow our prayer gets lost in the sending. We just don’t realize just how big God really is. We also forget that we can ask God to listen to our prayers. This doesn’t offend him that we ask him to listen anymore then we are offended when a child says to us, ... [read more]...

HE HEARS Written by Michelle Martin The excited squeals and screams from my nineteen nieces and nephews filled the crisp autumn air as they prepared for our family’s annual Thanksgiving obstacle course. Children of various ages and sizes stopped to listen for their instructions, all the while planning their strategy in order to secure the fastest time. As I surveyed the pending pandemonium from the edge of the lawn, a tender scene was unfolding before my eyes. My three year old niece, not yet ... [read more]...
